CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR PREPARATION OF THE ROSTERS OF SPORTSPERSONS OF OUTSTANDING MERIT (SOM)
August 27, 2026Dear All,
I hope my email finds you well.
We are pleased to inform you that AITA is launching its new online tournament platform on the 15th August 2026, a single digital system for the entire lifecycle of Indian tennis: user management, tournament operations, and results.
This platform will offer:
- One national database: Every registered player, official, academy, and tournament-related data in one verified system, we are moving away from the old approach of scattered spreadsheets, duplicate registrations, or lost records.
- Transparency at every step: Registrations, entries, withdrawals, draws, and results are recorded on the platform with a full trail, visible to all stakeholders alike.
- Global recognition for our players: The platform integrates with the WT’s World Tennis Number (WTN), giving every Indian player an internationally recognised rating.
- Faster tournaments, less manual effort: Online applications, automated draws, and digital scheduling will significantly reduce the manual burden on referees, organisers, and association offices.
- Increased accessibility: The web platform will be accompanied by Mobile apps, for both Android and iOS devices, ensuring everyone has access to the happenings of the AITA Tournament Circuit at any moment.
- Better decisions: Consolidated statistics on participation, tournaments, and player development (state-wise and nationally) available to the stakeholders on demand.
Login credentials for associations will be shared separately over the coming days. We request all associations to log in, verify the association’s details, and familiarise yourself with the platform. There will be a separate Android and iOS mobile app login for Association managers, as well.
We are planning a phased rollout to ensure a smooth transition, starting 15 August 2026:
- Phase 1: Player Registrations, World Tennis Number (WTN) integration, Tournament Entries & Withdrawals, Academy Registrations, Mobile Apps, and Tournament Applications.
- Phase 2: Automated Draws, Order of Play (OOP), Live Scoring, Results, and Player Statistics.
We request your support in encouraging players, parents, academies, and organisers in your state to register as Phase 1 goes live.
Indian tennis deserves infrastructure that matches the ambition of its players. This platform is that foundation, and we look forward to building it with you.
With regards,
(Sunder Iyer)
Hon. Secretary General
